How to make the best gin in town and impress your friends!
If you haven't had this, have you had anything?
One day, I was just sitting around idle thinking what to do as my gintern application round one was coming to a close, I thought, since I am sick and can't go out, why not make a gin that would just bring some heat in my body and at the same time serve a nice purpose.
Fair warning though, I haven't tried this drink ever (till I made it), so I don't know if it or it's variations that I experimented on exist or not. I just tried to do something, Since, I haven't tried these before, no claims of it being unique.

I asked my flatmate to go over and get me a bottle of gin as I was not able to go out (Bad flu). She got me a McDowell's Blue Riband Premium extra dry gin.
Now, I don't really like anything dry, let alone extra dry, so I thought that I should mix up some juices to make it a bit less dry. I thought I would make a video out of it after I got a bit better and camera ready, but we ended up downing the whole thing in one sitting. (There were six of us.)
So, I thought, I would just share the recipe instead and save the videos for later maybe. So here it goes:
Requirements:
- Gin
- Fruit Juices like cranberry, apple, raspberry, strawberry (to make something red), orange, grape, kiwi, apple (to make something orangish-greenish), milk , chocolate syrup (to make something valentine-ish)
- Sliced fruit of your choice
- Some ice (optional)
- Some soda (optional)
- Shot glasses or something like we used if you are going to go for it for a really long time
What to do next?
- Take gin and fruit juices and mix them. You can use a mixer or a bottle to mix them. Be sure to close the lid of both the things tightly.
- Pour it out in your respective shot glasses (opt out of the next step if you are not using soda or ice)
- Once done with that, take the soda and pour it down real slow and gentle. Once done with that, mix it even slowly. Pour some ice and mix again.
- The last step is to, add the sliced fruit of your choice in the glass.
Voila! You are done with it. Serve to people and no doubt they will be impressed.
How does it taste like?
Apart from "Yummmmyyy! Apps you are a rockstar baibayyy!!" by my girls, it tastes really fruity and you can taste the mix of those juices and every sip feels a different flavor.
Something red: Tastes highly of the cranberry and other flavors are a bit subdued.
Something orangish-greenish: Too tangy to even describe it, but in a really good way. Not in a I just had a tequila shot way.
Something valentine-ish: It's chocolately, it's milky and at the very end of the shot you get a hint of gin.
As for the taste of the sliced fruit, it will give you the feeling of everything induced inside it, at the very end, if you keep it in there for 10-15 minutes, before taking the shot. If you drinking the large glass slowly, don't worry about it. It will soak in everything by the time you reach the end.
Hope you liked it. Please don't forget to try it and then give me some feedback as to, did you like it or nah?
Till then, Stay sassy, classy and a little bit bad assy.
